Winter Comiket is almost upon us once again, so here's the beginning of another event preview series! I'll mostly be covering doujin albums that i"m interested in, but I'll check out the C89 games preview video once that's available. As always, you can find the latest album previews and announcement on Doujinstyle's C89 music preview thread. Read on to see what interesting albums are being released at the next Comiket. [CROW'SCLAW] - Angel's Wings Genre - Alternative Metal/Vocal, Original Site | XFD It's about damn time, Taka! He's finally gracing us with a full vocal album 1.5 years after his last one, Caramel Crunch. This time around, we only have Show Ikeda and Futoumeido on vocals. It's a shame that there's no Mei Ayakura or Nachi, but i'm not going to complain since I'm happy with the two other returning vocalists. The crossfade sounded very good to my ears, and is a great indication that the album will turn out fantastic. Like Sepia Recollections, this is an original alternative metal album with vocals. There's also going to be a second album from CROW'SCLAW this comiket, with KanColle arrangements. I'll check that once once there's more information on it. [xi-on] - Mapleaves Genre - Jazz, Touhou Site | XFD And another jazz album from xi-on, the circle that has brought us Eyes and Scarlet! As you can see from the cover, this time it'll be Mountain of Faith themed. Sounds good so far, with more variety than the previous two albums had. I really enjoyed the bossa nova styled track that they had in there. [Foxtail-Grass Studios] - Re*Collection Genre - Instrumental, Electronic, Touhou Site | XFD Very nice! The preview showcased hamu's usual style of music but with some electronic elements incorporated. I think it's done very tastefully in this case. It definitely sounds a lot better than what he attempted with Laz in their M3-36 album, Melangelic Tone. Track #2 has guitars played by da from Forest306, which is pretty sweet. I hope to see a full album from him this Comiket, as his last album (caffè pioggia) was very good although short. That's it for now! I chose my favorite three previews out of what's currently available for my first C89 post. It's looking like it'll be a pretty good comiket so far!
I decided to split up the posts instead of making it one giant one this time around. I hope you guys enjoy these preview posts! Please let me know if there's anything you'd like me to check out in the comments below.

That CROW'SCLAW hype! I'm very pleased to see Taka putting out another original vocal album, especially since it looks to feature more than just track with Futoumeido behind the mic. Miss Ikeda is great too! :P

CROW'SCLAW hype indeed! I'll finally have something new to listen to in the car LOL. Yeah it's definitely nice that Futomeido is getting more exposure because we don't really get to hear her much otherwise. I know Show Ikeda has own solo albums and of course Mei Ayakura and Nachi are always featured on Alstroemeria Record's albums.

The few songs I've heard with Futomeido were pretty catchy (the one on Caramel Crunch and another from the Barrage Am Ring 4 Arrange album) and her voice was a nice change of pace from the usual bunch. I'm definitely looking forward to hearing the whole album. Now if somewhere down the line Taka has Mie (Get in the Ring) on one of his songs, that'd be pretty sweet.

Oooh, Mie has a very lovely voice... Not sure if it'll go well with rock/metal, but I'm sure Taka would make it work somehow :).

While working on Part 6 of the C89 previews, I realized that Futomeido has actually been working a lot with Pizuya's Cell since Claire de Lune in Reitaisai 10. I guess I never made the connection huh? She's going to be on Pizuya's upcoming album

Mie has a unique voice that I feel goes with a lot of styles. She was featured pretty heavily on a few on Undead Corporation's albums (C86 and Reitaisai 12) and she sounded pretty good in my opinion, so working with Taka would be quite fitting. That reminds me, not sure if I mentioned it before but Merami guested on Get in the Ring's C87 mini-album (Activity Case:04; track 1 only). I think she and Mie sound great together! You might like it.
