Yep, finally put everything together. Took a while to actually get a good position with the speakers using a tape measure and masking tape, but I did it! i think my desk right now is looking the best thus far in my school career. There's actually no place to store my headphones so they actually have to be stored in the drawer below my desk, on the right.
There's also a PS3 and a big Sony TV hidden on top of the desk, but they're my room mate's. I wish I had that space to put some of my other stuff on display... but there's nowhere else to put the tv :(. After a month long wait... they're here at last. But do they stand up well against the Q Acoustics 2010i? We'll see on Friday! After some brief listening, these speakers can really output bass for their small size!
Huge thanks to OJneg for offering to build these speakers for me for the cost of parts and shipping. A close friend of mine, Christian, came over nast night to hang out... and took a pretty sweet picture of my Ultimate Ears Reference Monitors (UERMs)!
Please excuse the ipod shuffle in the BG... it's a sad excuse to be combined with the likes of the UERMs. It makes the UERMs sound like 1/10th of what they cost. Works fine with the gr07 while I'm jogging though. |
