Happy new year everyone!!!
Like last year, I'll be recapping and writing some mini reviews for the VNs, music, and games that I've played throughout the year. Despite all the things going around in the world and disappointments in my personal life, overall 2016 has been good to me.
Anyways, onto visual novels! Last year, I managed to finish 12 VNs and this year, I've finished a measly 7. I guess that's the price that I have to pay with a full time job now. With Root Letter and Sakura Christmas Party finished, I now have 48 VNs completed! Read on for my impressions of the 7 VNs from this year, in order of completion.

Happy New Year!!
I know that I was pretty much inactive for most of 2015, but I still wanted to do a "Year in Review" post anyways. I wanted to look back at all of the VNs that I've read this year, and some of my favorite doujin/touhou albums released from C88, R12, and C87 this year. It doesn't quite make up for all the event preview/reviews and VN reviews that I missed, but I hope that you guys will enjoy it nonetheless. Prewar-era Japan. Kara no Shoujo - The Second Episode (KNS 2) is a direct sequel to Kara no Shoujo (KNS) and the third visual novel of the mystery series by Innocent Grey. It was finally translated and released in English by MangaGamer on November 2015. Since this is a sequel, there will be spoilers from the previous two VNs in this review but I will avoid spoiling anything in KNs 2. The novel assumes that you have at least read KNS and the KNS 2 Trial (which is more of a prequel), but I do recommend reading Cartagra to gain more background knowledge of past events and a few returning characters.
Does KNS 2 live up to the expectations as a sequel? I certainly think so! Read on for the full review. By Nitroplus & 5pb, my 24th Visual Novel. The story of Steins;Gate takes place in Akihabara and is about a group of friends who have customized their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN who has been doing their own research on time travel tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them. As usual, no major spoilers.
My 22nd Visual Novel. I actually finished this a while ago, but never got to writing a review on it! It is a snowing Christmas Eve… Everything seems so peaceful when a huge earthquake occurs. The earthquake causes the city to be in ruin, and the surviving people need to find ways to stay alive. Some go crazy and rob others, some cling onto God, some gather to live together. The 6 main characters meet at a church while they were trying to find shelter from the snow. What will they see and experience in this extreme situation…? I'll keep this one short, as it has been a while and my memories of everything isn't as clear as it was a couple monthes back. Spoiler free!
