I'm back with another C86 album review! Perpetual Devotion is the first of two albums that ENS has released during C86, featuring some arrangements from the latest Touhou game, Double Dealing Character. ENS has been around the doujin scene for a while and quite frankly, their music style hasn't changed too much over the past few years. A few months ago during Reitaisai 11, they only released a "Best Of" album and a instrumental version of their C885 album. So there wasn't any new content from them during the last event. However, they are now back with two new albums in Comiket 86.

[Foxfactory] - 夏風の音 After a bit of a break, I'm back with a Comiket 86 album review! Like I said in the preview, Yuki is always just so consistent with his albums, and Natsukaze no Oto is no exception.
Sadly, school eats away at the time that I get to listen to music and write about it but I'll eventually get through all of the albums mentioned in the preview! In addition, the screenshots for episode 2 of the AoSC LP are ready, so that'll be up sometime soon. It's here! My most anticipated C86 album. Did it meet my expectations? Read more to find out. Ever since Four Resolutions, I knew there was something special about Taka's work. But it wasn't until Sepia Recollections (C85) that I truly became a fan and worshiper of his music. Continuing off from Sepia, Caramel Crunch (R11) was a huge success as a Vocal Rock album. From my preview: A Comiket wouldn't be complete without Alstroemeria Records. With a homemade doubleshot iced Americano by my side... everything sounds better. But did this album impress me enough to want to buy it? Read more to find out.
This album is kind of a late review, being a Reitaisai 11 release. I couldn't find it anywhere on the web so I had to resort to actually buying it myself.
Secret Messenger is the name of Yuy's current circle. Yuy used to be known as t=node, back when he made touhou arrangements. Yuy has a pretty unique style of music, utilizing seemingly random sounds and instrument notes at times in addition to long buildups and breakdowns. Since working as Secret Messenger and composing his own music, Yuy has been utilizing vocalists in his music. Overall his style is something that you'll either love or hate. |
