[Lilium Records] - POPOVER+TEATIME I was tempted to write a review on one of the circles that I usually write about, but decided that I should introduce another circle to the readers here! I had some pretty high expectations going into this album despite it being my first time hearing anything from Lilium Records. Turns out that POPOVER+TEATIME was a really enjoyable album on my first listen! Despite there being 12 different artists on this album, they all did a pretty good job at keeping a consistently cute theme through out the album. There's a ton of variety in this album because of all the different styles, so there's bound to be a track that someone would like. Even though I normally don't like trap music, I found myself really enjoying Track #1, Candy Drops. There are some pretty nice synths all over and no weird vocals like in Camelia's Restart. Track #2 has some really fun and cute transitions with a deep bass drop and some excellent upbeat tunes afterwards. While tracks #3-6 were okay, they didn't particularly stand out to me. The title track, Popover !, was quite a fun listen overall and one of my favorites out of the album. Conversely, track 8 felt really out of place in this album with its club-like sound and feel. Lighting the way was a surprisingly good throwback to some western trance with both female and male vocals. Unfortunately, I wasn't a big fan of the high BPM music in tracks 8 and 9. Lastly, COFFEE WORLD was a fantastic way to end the album with its happy tune and sweet guncock transitions. Definitely give this album a listen if you're into the cute sounding electronic music. The crossfade was a great indication of what the album was going to end up sounding like. The album is a really great way to get one's mood up, and I'll definitely be listening to this album more in the future. Despite the few tracks that I didn't really like, I feel like POPOVER+TEATIME is... Overall - 4/5 Good
